Our History
It’s the meeting between 2 students (Rodrigue Malu and Prince Pascal Ngoyi) in 2015 who, having themselves noticed the gap in communication channels between certain services (entrepreneurship training, sponsorship, mentoring, networking, etc.) and most young people from communities of African descent, decided to think about the possibilities of doing things differently.
In 2016, the project was born but exists unofficially because the organization’s objectives are not clearly defined.
In 2019, the two friends decide to register the organization and are already working with 2 partners, before the pandemic brings the organization’s activities to a standstill.
In 2020, the organization mandated Rodrigue to take the training course on Good OBNL Governance offered by the Collège des Administrateurs de l’Université de Laval. At the same time, Prince continued his specialization in Personal Finance.
In 2024, the organization obtained the Supporting Black Communities in Canada (SBCC) grant from Groupe 3737 and implemented its current programs and services.

We are proud of these numbers and strive to increase our impact even more in the years to come. By expanding our reach and deepening our commitment to empowering youth, we aim to reach more individuals who can benefit from our programs. Our goal is not only to continue reducing unemployment rates and improving educational outcomes but also to foster a community where every young person has the resources and support they need to achieve their full potential.
Our Values
Respect
First and foremost, mutual respect between members is essential at all times and in all places. Then there’s respect for one’s commitments: being a member of the G.J.E. means showing a great deal of personal discipline, especially when it comes to punctuality. Finally, there’s respect for the group’s statutes and internal rules.
Solidarity
Work
We believe that work (school, academic, professional) helps young people build self-confidence and develop a sense of responsibility.
